Honest feedback, and your story if you want to share it.

Use the apps on a real store and tell us what you find. Positive or critical. A bug, a confusing screen or a missing feature is as useful to us as praise.
A short interview about your real experience. We turn it into a testimonial or case study for this site. You read the draft first. We publish only what you approve in writing, and you can ask us to take it down later.

The ground rulesso there are no surprises

The discount is for taking part. Not for what you say.

  • The discount never depends on a positive opinion. A critical interview earns the same discount as a glowing one.
  • Every testimonial from a member is published with this line: “This merchant received a discount for taking part in our Founding Merchants program.”
  • We do not ask for Shopify App Store reviews and we do not reward them. Shopify does not allow incentivized reviews, so the program stays out of the listing entirely.
  • We have not set a cap on how many stores can join. If that changes, or the program ends, this page will say so.

Tell us about your store.

A person on our team reads every application and replies by email. When we approve a store, the discount is applied when that store subscribes to a paid plan.

Do I have to say good things about the apps?

No. The discount is for taking part: using the apps on a real store and giving us honest feedback. It does not depend on what you say. If your experience is mixed or critical, that is the feedback we asked for.

What gets published, and who decides?

Only what you approve. After a short interview we send you the draft of a testimonial or case study. Nothing goes on the site until you approve it in writing, and you can say no, or ask us to take it down later.

Will the testimonial say I got a discount?

Yes. Every testimonial from a Founding Merchant carries this line next to it: "This merchant received a discount for taking part in our Founding Merchants program."

Do you ask for Shopify App Store reviews?

No. We do not ask for App Store reviews and we do not reward them. Shopify does not allow incentivized reviews, and this program has nothing to do with the listing. Your testimonial is for this website only.

How is the 50 percent applied?

When you subscribe to a paid plan, we create the Shopify subscription with a 50 percent discount that lasts for the first three billing periods. Shopify bills every 30 days, so that covers three charges. After that the plan renews at its list price, and you can cancel any time in Shopify.

What if I change plans during the three months?

Write to us. The discount is attached to the first subscription we create for your store, so a plan change needs a person on our side to look at it.

Is there a limit on how many stores can join?

We have not set one. A person on our team reads every application and replies by email. If we ever set a limit or an end date, it will be stated on this page.

Does the free plan count?

The discount applies to paid plans. The free plan stays free, with or without the program.
