What is Buy X get Y?
Buy X get Y is a promotion where buying a set quantity or value of some products earns a reward on others, such as two shirts and a free pair of socks.
On Shopify, the native Buy X get Y discount applies a discount to the reward product but does not add that product to the cart for the shopper; Shopify's Help Center says customers must add all items to their cart manually.
Apps can add the reward automatically and apply the discount in the same step.
