Add the checkout upsell (Shopify Plus)

The Checkout upsell template offers one more product inside checkout, for example a travel size. Apps can add blocks to the information, shipping and payment steps only on Shopify Plus, so the template needs Shopify Plus. It also needs the Pro plan.

1. Create the offer from the Checkout upsell template. Its steps are Setup, Trigger, Products, Discount, Eligibility, Placement, Schedule & limits, Currencies and Review.
2. On Placement, select Open checkout editor. Shopify opens the checkout editor in a new tab.
3. Add the Checkout upsell block, and paste the offer ID into it. The Placement step has a copy chip for the ID once the draft is saved.
4. Save in the checkout editor, then publish the offer.

Things to know

• The Placement step shows Requires Shopify Plus. If your store is not on Plus, Review says: Your store isn't on Shopify Plus, so this upsell can't show in checkout steps.
• The block shows nothing when the checkout currency differs from your store currency.
