How analytics are counted
What Attributed revenue, Carts that qualified and Impressions mean, which numbers are estimates, and how long data is kept.
Select What counts? on any analytics page for the definitions in your store's currency and time zone.
| Metric | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Attributed revenue | Subtotal of paid orders that used at least one offer, after discounts and refunds, before shipping and tax. |
| Orders with offers | Paid orders that included a gift, discount or bundle from an offer, or used one of its codes. |
| Average order value | Attributed revenue divided by orders with offers. |
| Carts that qualified | Carts that met an offer's conditions at least once. A cart counts once per day. |
| Order rate | Orders divided by carts that qualified. |
The analytics pixel
Freebies Engine by Log Studio Lab includes an analytics pixel. The optional Setup guide step Connect the analytics pixel is done once the pixel has reported a storefront event; select Open Installation to check it. Revenue and orders do not depend on the pixel.
Estimates and retention
- Carts that qualified, impressions and added are counted from storefront events, which any visitor's browser can send, so treat them as estimates. Revenue and orders come from Shopify's order webhooks and are not affected.
- An order with two offers counts once in the totals and once for each offer, so offer rows can add up to more than the total.
- Orders in another currency are not added to your totals.
- Orders and daily totals are kept for 400 days. Individual events are kept for 90 days.
