Freebies Engine
Turn on the app embed
Shoppers cannot see gifts, progress bars or widgets until the app embed is on in your live theme. Turn it on and check the status.
The app embed loads Freebies Engine by Log Studio Lab on your storefront. Until it is on, shoppers cannot see your offers. Checkout discounts are a separate part and keep working.
- In Freebies Engine by Log Studio Lab, open Installation under Storefront.
- In the App embed card, select Turn it on in theme editor. Shopify opens the theme editor in a new tab.
- In the theme editor, open App embeds, turn on Freebies Engine by Log Studio Lab and save.
- Back in Freebies Engine by Log Studio Lab, the status chip changes from Off to On. If it does not, select Check again.

How the check works
- The status is On, Off or Couldn't check, and the card names your live theme.
- The page re-checks when you return to the tab and every 10 seconds for 5 minutes, until it is On.
- If you switch themes, turn the embed on in the new theme.
