Experiment Engine
Turn on the app embed and check tracking
Tests need the Experiment Engine app embed on in your live theme and the tracking pixel reporting visits. Turn both on and confirm them.
- In the Setup guide, find Turn on the app embed and select Turn it on in theme editor. Turn the embed on in your live theme and save.
- Back in the guide, wait for the check, or select I've turned it on if the check cannot read your theme.
- Under Check tracking, select Open your store once so the pixel can fire.
- The step shows Tracking is working with the minutes since the last visit it saw.
- The embed lets shoppers see the versions. The pixel counts visitors and orders. Without both, results cannot be trusted.
- If you switch themes, turn the embed on in the new one.
- If your store is password protected, open the link in a window where you are logged in.
- If a running test loses either, Overview shows it under needs attention with a Turn it on or Fix tracking button.
