Set up Experiment Engine: embed, tracking and costs

0:03 The setup page
Experiment Engine starts with a setup page: three checks, then your first test. The bar shows how many required steps are done, and Check again refreshes them.
0:15 Turn on the app embed
Select Turn it on in theme editor, switch the embed on in your live theme, and save. The embed is what lets shoppers see each version of a test.
0:25 Check tracking
Under Check tracking, select Open your store once, so the tracking pixel can fire. The pixel is what counts visitors and orders.
0:35 Add product costs
Product costs are recommended, because profit per visitor needs them. Select Review costs to read them from Shopify or upload a file.
0:45 Your overview
The overview lists your running tests, and suggests tests to try next. When the checks pass, select Create test.
