Bundle offers: fixed, mix and match
Sell fixed bundles, mix and match sets or a build-your-own-box page at a bundle price, and know what to check before you publish.
Bundle templates change the price of a set of products. The cart and checkout show the bundle price.
Classic bundle
- Products answers Which products are in the bundle?
- Discount answers What do shoppers save?
- Setup has Apply the bundle price when these products are added separately. When it is on, a shopper who adds every item of the bundle to the cart one by one, from the product pages, gets the bundle price and sees a message in the cart saying so. It is on for new bundles and off for bundles you created before it existed, so nothing changes until you turn it on.
Products added separately count only as whole sets: with a bundle of A and B, two A and one B discount one A and one B, and the extra A stays at full price. A product that is already part of a bundle added from its bundle widget is never discounted twice, and when two bundles list the same product the one with the better priority takes it. The bundle price needs every item of the bundle to be in the cart at the same time; the message in the cart is the one you set under Bundle price applied message in Translations.
Mix & match and the bundle builder page
- Mix & match has an Items step (What can shoppers pick from?) where each item is a list of products. Use Add item for more.
- Bundle builder page has a Steps step (How do shoppers build their bundle?) where shoppers move through steps and pick products in each. Use Add step.
- Both use Discount tiers: What do shoppers save as they add more?
Before you publish
- Add the Bundle builder block in the theme editor, on the product template or on its own page. The Review step reminds you.
- For the builder page, add the bundle link to your page so the right bundle shows. Review warns you if you have not.
- Bundles can need Shopify Plus on some stores. The table below shows the requirement for each template.
- If bundles misbehave, open Diagnostics. The Cart features check says when a cart feature is not switched on in Shopify, and Republish all fixes it.
