Keep the add to cart button in reach.
Sticky Add to Cart shows a bar at the edge of the screen once the button in your theme scrolls out of view. The bar clicks your theme's own add button, so your cart drawer and checkout behave exactly as before.
Billed through your Shopify subscription, apart from your App suite plan. How mini app billing works.

How it works
- Pick a template and set the words.
- Choose the look, the devices and when it appears.
- Turn on the app embed in your theme editor and publish.
An Online Store 2.0 theme. A product page with the theme's own add to cart button. Works on every Shopify plan.
What shoppers see
- The bar appears only after the theme's button leaves the screen.
- The option they picked and its price, and a clear sold-out state.
- No bar while the cart is open, while the keyboard is up, or at high zoom.
What you control
- Two templates: the button alone, or with the photo, name and price.
- Top or bottom of the screen, with an offset to clear other apps.
- Mobile by default, desktop if you want it.
- The words and the look.
Light on your storefront
The bar is fixed to the edge of the screen, so it is not part of the page flow and cannot move the content. Every file has a size budget that our build checks before each release, and a page without the app on it does not load these files.
| File | What it does | Budget |
|---|---|---|
| ml-sticky.js | The bar and the logic that follows your theme's button | 1,720 B |
| ml-sticky.css | Its styles | 670 B |
| ml-core.js | Shared helpers (announcements, reduced motion) | 910 B |
| ml-core.css | Shared design tokens | 400 B |
At most 3.7 KB in total.
Built for every shopper
- The bar is a labeled group, and an unavailable option is marked disabled for assistive technology.
- It steps aside at high zoom and while the on-screen keyboard is open, so it never covers the form.
- It clicks your theme's own button, so your theme's cart announcements stay the ones shoppers know.
Questions about Sticky Add to Cart
- Does it add to the cart by itself?
- No. It clicks your theme's own add button, so a cart drawer, a redirect or a custom flow works the same.
- My theme already has a sticky button. Can I use both?
- Turn off the theme's version in Theme settings first, so shoppers do not see two.
- How many can be live?
- One at a time. Pause the live one to publish another.
- Where do I switch it on?
- Once, under App embeds in the theme editor. It needs an Online Store 2.0 theme with the theme's own add to cart button on the product page.
- How is it billed?
- Each mini app is billed on its own, through your Shopify subscription, and apart from your App suite plan. Nothing is charged outside Shopify.
