Fixed-Price Bundles for Shopify Stores
Sell products together at a bundle price on Shopify: when a fixed bundle fits, how the Classic bundle template works and what to check before you price it.
A fixed bundle sells the same products together every time, at a price that is lower than buying them one by one. It suits products that belong together, such as a serum and a cream, where you want the shopper to leave with the full routine.
When it fits
- The items are complementary and one purchase makes the other more useful.
- You can name the set, so it reads as a product rather than a discount.
- You want to raise order value without asking the shopper to decide between many options.
If the shopper should choose the items, look at Mix and match bundles instead.
How the template builds it
The app's Classic bundle template is described as "Fixed products sold together at a bundle price." Its example is a serum and a cream together at a saving. The template page lists what the offer needs before you build it; for bundles, it notes that Shopify Plus may be required.
Check the math first
A bundle discount comes out of the margin of every product in it. Price it from your costs, not from a round number:
- Bundle pricing that keeps your margin
- Product bundling on Shopify: types and math
- Bundle performance for what to measure after launch
- Shopify bundles vs an app for the native route
The FTC's pricing guides also apply to how you describe the saving. Product bundling on Shopify cites 16 CFR 233.1 on former price comparisons; keep any "was" price honest.
Inventory
A bundle draws down the stock of every product in it. Shopify bundle inventory explains what to watch.
Packing day
Each line in the bundle carries a Bundle label on the order. Your team sees which items were sold together, and the order shows the bundle price as one saving.
